I like Squirrel Nut Zippers... But they have no "perfect" albums... So I made one. Compiled a CD of what I felt were the best tracks from their studio albums. All killer, no filler. I feel my sequencing was perfect too, songs flow together and create shifting moods without jarring song changes. But I never listen to my CDs anymore... So I made it into a YouTube playlist - added a few songs the band put into their own curated "best of" album. ... although I now have to live with their ads

Amazon Music Playlist "REDISCOVER Steve Albini" He might be glad that hearing of his death kinda made me mad. Like, "Life is bullshit, Steve Albini can't be dead!" Maybe the last straw for atheism- A good God wouldn't kill him... an attentive devil wouldn't let such an asshole go!
Despite some of my favorite albums being engineered/produced by him, I really haven't gone too deep in in his production catalog... although being a completest would mean hundreds of obscure albums. I do have some kinda obscure stuff... Mclusky... Poster Children... Jesus Lizard... Brainiac... Melt Banana.
My friend DJ, Drummer and co-vocalist of IfIHadAHifi, and the rest of the band practically followed him as a guru. The music forum led by Albini that they were members had more lasting effect on those guys than the XTC Idea forum had on us. Almost everyone in the group were members of bands and they still annually get together to play concerts, mainly for/at each other. 20 or so years after the forum went away.
