Rome, Georgia, where I have played golf a few times over the years. And, if am not mistaken, Mare, I believe Franklinton was indeed named in honor of Ben Franklin. I guess discovering America (allegedly) trumps discovering electricity. What about Amerigo Vespucci, who I thought actually discovered the place? Is there a Vespucciton or Vespucciville...how about plain old Downtown Vespucci?

Actually, a quick Google search reveals a Vesper in New York, Wisconsin, and Oregon, so maybe Vespucci did get a town or two named for him, though I doubt it.

New Vienna, Ohio, a small town not far from where I live that was mentioned for some reason in an episode of Law and Order
By the way, I don't know if the next person to respond should use w or a for their city, so I guess either one will be acceptable.

Adams, North Dakota. I spent a long weekend there in my late teens and saw the most amazing Northern Lights ever.

Two Harbors, Minnesota. On the famous North Shore of Lake Superior and the home of some cousins (2 or 3 times removed, I'm not sure) I haven't seen since I was a kid.
