And with the way Lucy always pulls the football away from him, Charlie Brown is an expert in having his sports spoiled.

I'm taking the ball and leaving! Given that this is an internet forum, does that mean that you are taking the ball out of my mouse? Because I need that mouse to find internet por--uh, searches.

Oddly enough, my mouse broke about a month after the previous post in this thread. Maybe Ned really did take the ball and go home.

To the victor belongs the spoils, so celebrate your win with some chunky milk.

COVID19 isn't going to spoil my fun, unless I die, in which case just toss my belongings on the Back Porch so that there is plenty of room for all three people who post here regularly.

I'm taking my ball and going home. Or I would have, if I had not just broken that window.

If there is a way to televise this sp0rt, ESPN is desperate for programming.

I was thinking this morning when I saw a promo for WWW something live that Sports channels are probably really desperate for live programming. Now is a good time to invent a sport where everyone wears masks and stays six feet away from each other with no in house audience. ?

It's a kind of sport.

There is iRacing on, miles. It is like golf, though-better played than watched IMHO. The professional drivers REALLY get into it. One thing that has become a bit of an issue, again IMHO, is the fact that if race cars sustain serious damage, drivers can only "reset" two times. When a driver gets taken out through no fault of his own and goes through his resets pretty quickly into a long race, and gets loose or taken out again he goes through the same emotion as when he is really in a race. Bubba Wallace got upset in this situation during last Sunday's race and got out of his rig and left where ever he was driving from. I would have been irked, too. The drivers have sponsors and I don't know what the money awards/points awards values are in dollars. The feelings are still there, though the cars are simulated.

I've never heard of such a thing, Mare. Sounds really weird -- virtual sports played for and paid by virtual spectators? I'm getting all matrixy just thinking about it.
