It's very subjective. You can spin it as you please. And people do. No easy answer to that one. Sorry for being a spoilsport. Hang on? I was thinking of myself-I get all excited about a film or tv show...a restaurant or store...and I jump right into lots of details and become Blabula. I have developed better habits of communicating my excitement, these days. I also have learned not to tell other peoples' stories...they are not my stories to tell. It is really tough when it is my kids, though. I want to share the hell out of that stuff. Now, I ask them if I can share and if I get "NO!" in any variation, I keep a lid on it. I can remember an incident when I was in sixth-seventh grade-I was definitely a spoilsport...the guys in my class were out on the playground running around in the rain. I passed them on my way into our classroom. I made sure the teacher heard about it. I learned my lesson, though. When a guy in my Sophomore Drafting class lit a firecracker, tossed it into a drafting desk and BANG! Our teacher was out in the hallway and he stormed in and tried to find out who it was. No one would confess. In a little while things calmed down and the teacher came up to me, working away erasing unperfect lines, and tried to pump me for info. No way was I telling. Being a narc was bad news in the mid 70s. I was standing in solidarity with my fellow students in a repressive Catholic High School classroom. I didn't see anything, I was just working on my drawing. But I did. I knew exactly who did it. It didn't damage anything, just disturbed the quiet. It was nothing compared with the streakers that ran through our school later that year. Now, that was something. I wasn't even sitting in the right place to see that!

Remember when children who behaved poorly were referred to as spoiled. Like they were a bad piece of fruit. It's all over for that kid, toss him in the compost.

In a cryptic crossword, that would potentially lead to the answer Bart.
