It is growing in popularity particularly among the "commando" aficionados (i.e. proper Scots folk). However there are serious sporting injuries to negotiate such as carpet burns and shin splints, not to mention "sporran shingles" and "sgian duhb jabs" which tend to put off all but the most dedicated. I predict an upsurge during the winter months when it is entirely dark in Scotland and the kilty shenanigans can only be observed in their full sublime majesty by the gloaming of the northern lights.
