Marriage counselling video?ย ย When I went to marriage counselling my wife told the therapist that I never buy her flowers...I said that I didnโt even know she sold flowers.

Perhaps a case of "never meet your heroes"--one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a kid the ever-spastic (though not a minnow) Ultimate Warrior. His life and death were featured on the Dark Side of the Ring this week, where I sadly learned that he became a racist, homophobic right-wing nut job who made a post-wrestling career speaking for conservative audiences about the poor, downtrodden white man. Sheesh.

Sheesh. Bad Bummer! I am terrified of meeting my heroes. Not that I've had many opportunities... I worked with someone who was really interested/addicted to WWE or some previous equivalent...when he started talking about it, he got all excited telling the running stories/fight histories and it really sounded like a soap opera. People coming back from the dead, lots of drama...I looked at it more as entertainment than a pseudo sport from then on. Still, the stunts that are performed take training, technique and practice, so there is a sporting side to it all. I think he liked The Undertaker's Story. And I love a good soap opera, with evil twins and brides with amnesia, etc.

Semi-pro rassling is the best. They have it every year at our local fairgrounds in September, and the kids get a good laugh out of it before they go and throw up in the Tilt-a-Hurl.

I saw mud wrestling at a county fair once a long time ago. Does that count?

I've been playing WWF Raw, a Super Nintendo-era wrestling game that I have a copy of an emulator. I played this game a ton in high school and decided for nostalgia's sake to give it another go.

Emulators & roms are wonderful. I like Sega Master System and original Nintendo ones.

My son told me about emulators. He went through a period about a year and a half ago where he was buying all kinds of old games online. He showed me his list of games he wanted to buy, it was LONG!
I think emulators make a lot of people happy.

I've not tried some of the hardware based emulators that essentially try to reproduce old systems. Ive read as with many things companyto company quality varies dramatically and also whether they use strictly software or actually what I guess are proper computer chips . The latter is more expensive. I'd love a Polymega, but outside my budget with other priorities. Sort of an open secret, but many 80s and some early to mid 90s video games are available as "free" roms yes not always quite proper/legal, some more than others depending on if rights holding company is defunct now. But so much of 80s and 90s systems emulators and their roms (the games essentially) are foldable to download for free. What's more particularly passionate fan bases even .modify original games, sometimes extensively to make essentials brand new games. This happens for Mega Man and Sonic games a lot but others too. Your son, if not aware, may wish to know about that. I'm guessing we may be of roughly similar age. I started gaming when I was 3 or 4 years old, yes really ( so like late 1987 to 1990), with first the Sega Master System ( no one remembers this in the states it seems. I loved Zillion, Gangster Town, Quartet, and Soace Harrier especially. It was the predecessor of Sega Genesis. It's the red and black one), then later in 91 my family got a Nintendo. I liked the Philip's CD-I, the first disc based gaming system very early 90s but not popular enough to be generally know of or have much games made. A great Alice in Wonderland rpg and infamous Zelda/Link games though amongst others. Also did lots of the early to mid 90s PC rpg/puzzle games like Lands of Lore, Legenda of Kyrandia, Loom, Monkey Island.
If your son likes megaman tell him to check out rockmancorner.com they post about fammade roms which some are amazing.
Best, Blue

With Vince McMahon on his way out, is it time for Don to take over (the wrestling operations, not the sexual improprieties)?

Daughter Stephanie McMahon has taken his place as chairperson and co-CEO, with her husband Paul Levesque - AKA former WWE star Triple H - on the board.

On May 6, 2002, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) changed both its company name and the name of its wrestling promotion to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after the company lost a lawsuit initiated by the World Wildlife Fund over the WWF trademark.
