Let's finish our Dysfunctional 2016, first! Is the correct sideways answer. Would "Let's finish our Dysfunctional 2016 sideways, first!" have been more correct?

Well nearly, seven weeks to go. What he said less one week and one day.

Snowball ~ Shel Silverstein
I made myself a snowball, As perfect as could be, I thought I’d keep it as a pet, And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas, And a pillow for its head, Then last night it ran away, But first - it wet the bed!

For those of you that are not self-employed, do you receive a Christmas bonus from your workplace?

For those of you that are not self-employed, do you receive a Christmas bonus from your workplace? No. But in the last six years I've had three no pay rises and three pay cuts. My redundancy terms have been cut by two thirds and my pension depleted. Still having a job for now is a bonus according to my employers. Never mind, on this date next month I'll be up my ears in turkey giblets and sweet sherry. Happy Christmas and don't let the bastards grind you down.

Save money this Christmas by simply buying your kids an Easter Egg each and telling them they overslept.

First Christmas gifts of the season today. The first one, a very nice bonus from my employer. It came as quite surprise as I've also just received a pay raise. The second gift was waiting in the mailbox when I got home (I bought it for myself). I'm a happy nerd.

Well done. Did your staff get a comparable bonus and pay rise?

I'm in dispute with my employer about such disparities.

Bonuses, I have no idea. I'm sorry your working situation is grim, donavan. Pay cuts and pension depletion sounds rather grim.

No use worrying about stuff you can't change.
'Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, and unsurprised by anything in between.'
Merry Christmas!
