When Matt Busby stepped down as manager after 24 years, 5 titles, 3 FA cups and the European cup, Man U had 17 years of disaray and 6 managers. After 27 years of ferguson it was clear man U had to not make the same mistake... whoops!

They've hardly made that mistake yet, still early days. Nothing is guaranteed, I'm old enough to remember United getting relegated. But I think within a couple of years things will be more or less back on track. It's going to take some time but we won't do a Liverpool

It's just a blip. And well done Saints. There, got that in first. Looking forward to the Chelsea game tomorrow. The LVG revival starts there.

1 point , but if you watched the full game, United were brilliant. V. Happy.

Still think United should keep LVG, don? Yes, let him see his contract out, or most of it, but give him no more money to spend. Let him get the best out of what he has bought. If he doesn't fancy that then let him walk. Otherwise it's a revolving door of managers. I watched United this afternoon and they were awful against pretty poor opposition. As I'm posting this West Ham are beating Man City and City are very average. It's a strange season but sometimes you've got to ride the storm. If you crash on the rocks, then it's time to start again. United aren't quite there yet.
