Manchester United booked an FA Cup fourth-round meeting with Middlesbrough as Scott McTominay's eighth-minute header proved enough to beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
But we are still shit. You have to keep it real.

Maybe they are just reeling from the late season managerial change.

I channel surf a lot. Today, I saw a footy game on the NBC network station for my market...not the sports one, that has recently gone away and I guess since that was where the Footy and Ruggers were, they got moved. It was your guys! I had to guess that AVL was Aston Villa, and had to wait for the announcer to confirm. I was pleased to see Man U was ahead at over 60:00 done in the game. All the adverts on the jerseys made it hard to figure which team was which because Red and Gold haven't got blue in them and both teams had blue. Eventually, Man U scored again and that helped me figure it out. It also was a relief. I had a team to cheer for. I made up some funny songs to sing with the fans in the stadium's tunes, because I couldn't understand a word they were singing. Best one..."We're gonna kick your ass!" (and then some "Whoopa! Whoopa! Woo!" thing that the fans were singing. It was a melee on the pitch, with players on both teams getting kicked or trampled or knocked hard in the head. But some on opposing teams acted like they knew each other, giving one they may have blocked or accidentally tripped an little pat on the arm or back like "sorry friend." Such a bummer that Aston Villa caught up like they did. Why did the game end in a tie? No sudden death minutes after they wasted most of the extra 4:00 make-up minutes milling about? What?

If it ends a draw you get 1 point each. If you win you get 3 points. If you lose you get zero points. So United dropped 2 points today after throwing away a 2 goal leave. Funny you should say what you do about the shirts. My daughter picked up on it straight away and mentioned that there was a colour clash. Another disappointing outcome. The jury is still out on the new manager, Wreck-It Ralph.
