I am about to add some sharp cheddar to some macaroni, and bake the mixture in the oven. I do take cheese seriously sometimes.

I like those crappy plastic cheese slices. Not sure how much cheese is in 'em.

The ones Americans euphemistically refer to as "cheese product"?

The ones Americans euphemistically refer to as "cheese product"? That is what I grew up on- Velveeta...I was really happy when I grew up and bought real chez! You know, different chez for different recipes. But I still use box Mac & Chez on occasion. (Way too much sodium.) I have started to use individually wrapped chez sticks from Trader Joe's to have portion control-Chez has long been a staple in my Vegetarian refrigerator. Now, not as much...I wheeze if I eat too much dairy and there is the puffy stomach that goes along with it. Also, I buy one chunk of several kinds and some grow white crud on them before I can consume them in entirety and off they go into the trash. It makes me sad to throw away chez. I like to get fresh sliced American chez at the grocery deli. Then, I can get a quarter-half pound (remember when # was the pound sign? Bleep Twitter! Sorry, I digress.) of a couple different kinds of chez, ready for sandwiches and easily piled up and julienned or ripped to fit for nachos.

Last night was sharp cheddar and jack melted on corn tortillas, filled with left over chicken breast, fresh spinach, green onions and salsa.

A bowl of frosted sawdust and insect larva. With a lovely fontina because this is the Cheese thread.

I had to throw away a chunk of extra sharp cheddar as it had gone moldy. Somewhere Bimble is crying.
