I'm in training for Christmas. I've just had 50 sprouts with my evening meal of chicken and potatoes. I am guessing you meant Brussels Sprouts. It would be tough to count out 50 alfalfa sprouts.

Oh yes I scarfed it. She was at work, but by process of elimination the guilty party was identified I made my last food run for a while. I did score some hazelnuts for the dressing And fresh sage, thyme and rosemary. The cubed sourdough bread has been getting stale and sour, so it won't get too mushy.

Hee hee hee miles ! Mmmm. Stuffing! Isn't there always some last thing to go to the store for at the last minute? donavan good job! That is a whole lot of Brussels Sprouts! Did you char or sauce them? My son does the char thing, my friend Linda steams and then puts a lot of butter and some salt on them. To me, they need something, but neither of those choices get me excited about the B.S. Raw shredded in a salad works ok, though.

Just boiled them until soft-ish then put some white ground pepper on. With a scoop of English mustard on the side.

Sounds tasty, donavan . You know, a salad dressing with that combo would work really well for me on the shredded in a salad B.S. I do prefer ground white pepper.

Just boiled them until soft-ish then put some white ground pepper on. With a scoop of English mustard on the side. My grandmother boiled them to death and served them with white vinegar, I disliked them with a fraught intensity. Later I realized I liked them, especially roasted, with charred outer leaves. However I wouldn't serve them for company (some day) because they make the house smell like farts.

Enjoy your day Kids I realized last night, that my sourdough dressing is actually a savory bread pudding. I've only been making it for 20 years.

Visited my parents for the second time since March (we live in the same town)- the first was Election night.
My mother is high risk, so you we didn't want to meet with my cousin and his... still girlfriend? (they've broken up at least 3 times in the past two years) who both work in or around hospitals.
My mother's mind went into auto-pilot the day before and instinctively tried to pick up the turkey while getting it ready to cook. My dad has to do the picking up, she can't pick up anything heavier than a gallon of milk... and ended up in pain for the actual day. We had a good dinner and, because it's a thing Michigan people do, watched the Lions lose their traditional turkey Day game... usually one of two games a year I'll "watch."
When I went to use the bathroom my mother went to put some heat on her back in her beadroom and slept apparently until the evening. My dad, also in his late 70's also strted falling asleep, so I went home and tried to figure out if I should try any black Friday "retail arbitrage" buying for my eBay business (buy low, sell high later on).
I actually did try to buy a PlayStation 5. If you can get one, they cost $500 but because there is low stock, they are selling for $1000+ on eBay. (which makes me feel a little dirty, but hey- it's business now.) It sold out instantly on Walmart's site. And i mean instantly. I was hitting the refresh button repeatedly, the page went live, I immediately pressed "put in cart" and went to the cart and was told "we are out of stock." Apparently people had automatica bots working on the website veersion. I guess they lasted a little while longer on the app.
