I clicked on the link Andy provided in his "Is this the best fake fake Beach Boys ever?" tweet and discovered a wonderful 'new' band from 1968. Sagittarius - My World Fell Down ~ a lovely tune that The Dukes could be proud to call their own. It was such a lovely song I then listened to the whole album, Present Tense. Hmm, that's interesting; the title track vaguely reminds me of this Minnie Ripperton song. That got me thinking about a consortium I attended many a year ago with Johnny Hardstaff, and his presentation of the History of Gaming which used the Ripperton song. Thanks Andy! ----------------- Where has the YouTube Rabbit Hole lead you?

Sagittarius led me to The Millennium, another band with Curt Boettcher. This was a long time before youtube though.

Miles - I read in the comments that Glenn Campbell sang lead on that song but... it's the comments! So that's pretty cool that it was Glenn. Speaking of Glenn, I watched an interesting music documentary recently in which Jimmy Webb related this story. He saw Glenn Campbell on a television program when he was younger and vowed that he would one day meet him and write a song for him. At the time of the interview Jimmy said his life proved for him the existence of god. Suzi - the first two clips are hilarious! I love the elevator skit.

Miles, the documentary is indeed surreal.
Last weekend as I was searching YouTube for some Yes music I came across this acoustic performance from 2004. It was broadcast live to cinemas across the US and is quite frankly, one of the most amazing musical performances I have ever had the pleasure of listening to and watching (Jon Andersenโs sublime banter aside).
The arrangements are inspired and the level of musicianship is outstanding. Rick Wakeman is especially in high form; his solo on South Side of the Sky brought tears to my eyes.
South Side of the Sky 10:04
Farther down the rabbit hole is this gem. The first 4 songs are from the formative years with Bill Bruford, Tony Kaye, Peter Banks, Chris Squire and Jon Andersen.

Tom's last song question on FB was "songs with 'Disco' in the lyrics" So I looked for the best "Me Lost Me Cookie at the Disco" video to share.
...also found this much more "cookidelic" track that I don't quite remember...
