With today being the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, I'm curious to know what, if any, role a contemporary interpretation plays in modern British life. The US Constitution was formulated and inspired by the document and its (constitution) meaning and interpretation is constantly debated. Does this happen in Britain? For anyone interested, here's a link to the document from the Guardian.

The US Constitution was formulated and inspired by the document and its (constitution) meaning and interpretation is constantly debated. Sadly, outside of the Second Amendment, the Constitution is for all intents and purposes meaningless at this point, despite all the "originalists" who love the Constitution while destroying all of its protections.

At least we have the Back porch Constitution to protect our right to celebrate Don Day everyday (article two).

We should probably write more rights and rituals into our BP constitution.
