I read a review of a concert by The (sic) Manhattan Transfer in the paper today - not really my thing, but it mentioned that they covered, rather surprisingly I thought, The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul. Checked them and it out on Spotify (on their 2018 album The Junction) - worth a listen. A little too precise, over-interpreted and jazzy for my liking, but - interesting, worth a listen.
I'm trying to figure out if it's a good thing or bad thing that the "XTC forum" has no thread about the reason there's no longer Twitter feed at the bottom of our pages. But I'm not the one the one to start one. I have enough of that headache on Facebook.
A bit rich Ned. I've watched the AP meltdown for ages and mentioned it on here. Never started a thread about it on here because of the lack of interest. I wish AP well he's in a bad place. He also seems a very unreasonable person. Which clashes with his lyrics. He never seemed interested in world politics but has recently come at it with teenage like good intention but a real world no idea approach. Well intentioned but a bit silly. He needs to get out more. And get off the internet for a bit. I get that. Good luck AP .
I see what you mean, Don. AP's odd love affair with Julian Assange is a good example. If Assange goes to jail, then good--fuck him. Anyone who was all too eager to help a narcissistic conman like Trump get elected deserves no fucking sympathy, as far as I am concerned.
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here--this is the war room.
As we get older there is a tendency to talk bollocks. Sometimes we lose sight of what's what. He's already been banned from online newspapers for his erratic comments . I think he'll be back soon. Where else can he promote the endless stream of reissues? Facebook maybe? Over to you Ned.
