I've been to work and now on my way home. I have a lovely office overlooking the River Mersey and the promenade along the riverfront. I had lunch (cheese sandwiches) looking out over the river, the Albert Dock and the Liver buildings.

Mr. T and donavan, both your experiences sound exotic. Two days in Spain and lunch by the Mersey; you may take it granted but for those who only dream of such places you're very fortunate. On the other hand, maybe my lunchtime bicycle ride along the back channels of the Mississippi River are the stuff of dreams - who knows

Went to Pagham beach yestreday. The old railway carraiges on the shingle which were used as beach ouses are gradually being demolished and turned into £1m beach houses. Still they have the tide to deal with - erosion big problem

Well....I am back at work after having an excellent holiday in the company of Mr. Jeff Truzzi, studio wizard and all round music go-to man. We had a couple of days in San Diego where I saw the famed SSL desk in his studio, the one they bought from Steve Winwood, then we drove to LA where we met Sunisa Petchpoo at her Warner Bros workplace, and had a lovely tour and lunch with her...then we went to meet Mare Lavelle and had a great evening with her in Claremont....then we drove for two days to Montana where we imposed ourselves on the esteemed Simpleton01 and his lovely family. We had a fantastic time, touring the locality, playing music, drinking and generally just staring at the wonderful mountain views out of his windows.
It is the best holiday I think I ever had.

Hell yeah! Had a great time! It's been a long time since I laughed as hard as we did at keltik's JK Simmons impression after we saw Whiplash.

Off to Greece tomorrow. It's one of them holiday-complex-full-board sort of places. Never been on a holiday like that before: always done hire villa self-cater. I wonder if I'll like it.....
In terms of places I've been, I would like to thoroughly recommend Istanbul. What a top(kapi) city.

i just returned from auburn, alabama where i was visiting a colleague and getting a look at his new sewer-geyser simulating apparatus, which my employer is helping to fund. IMG_0638 by cicadashell, on Flickr we're trying to learn more about how air moves around in deep pipelines, to develop predictive models that will help engineers design systems to avoid this sort of thing...
