I am still surprised at how much his death effected me. I wasn't a mega fan, and didn't have all his albums, but his music was the soundtrack for so much of my life. Also it reminded me of how radio was so vital in the 70s, his songs were in heavy rotation on KSAN and always sounded so cool. Several people have commented that they were shocked because they felt he would live forever, somehow his alienness would protect him from mortality. Alas it didn't.

And today, the wonderful actor, Alan Rickman. Search out the short film, 'The Song of Lunch'. He and Emma Thompson had a great on-screen chemistry.

Alan Rickman .... I absolutely loved him as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility. Him and Emma Thompson were magic together in everything they did. That voice too; ahhhhh !!!!

He was greatly talented, wonderful at complex characterization, and as Suzi says, what a voice. I'll look for The Song of Lunch, Peggs.

I am more sad about losing Alan Rickman than I am about David Bowie...Bowie will live forever. But Mr. Rickman's Velvety Voice is gone. I will miss you, Angel...

Abe Vigoda died a few days ago. I think for the entirety of my life Abe Vigoda was two hundred years old, kind of like Harry Morgan. Farewell, Fish.
