Ooh, Bob Mould. He can be a bit hit and miss for me but I still admire his artistry and give him the benefit of the doubt.

When they made Bob they broke the mould, sadly it's growing back.

The only album in my radar is the new Field Music. Based on the two singles it could be their best

These aren't new albums, but one artist that I really like is PT Walkley. He has a link where you can downloads all of his older albums. I particularly recommend Mr. Macy Walks Alone. ptwalkley.com/category/news/Here are some of his songs from Mr. Macy.

I'm listening to the new Rogue Wave album (Delusions Of Grand Fur) that was released last Friday. Ahhhh. Boys, I've missed you!

I like the new Weezer self-titled release. After not being very good for a number of years, the band has been much better on their last two releases. I haven't had a chance to give it a spin yet, but I do have the new Field Music. I also saw that Skeleton Staff has a new release--definitely an XTC influence on this group--so I will probably order that download later.

Just put an order for the new Well Wishers cd, due out in two weeks. Band leader Jeff Shelton hosts the 80s Underground and Power Pop Show, but of which I have touted on this forum before. The Nines (fronted by one-time Andy Partridge collaborator Steve Eggers) also have a new release coming out in August, if I am not mistaken about the date.

California musician David Brookings has been a steady favorite of mine for many years. Always helps when the reviewer is a fan.

Indie band Viola Beach have scored a number one album chart, six months after they were killed in a car crash.
The self-titled debut was compiled by the band's families, using live sessions and studio recordings, many of which were originally bound for an EP.
It outsold the number two album, ELO's All Over The World, The Very Best Of, by about 6,000 copies, said the Official Chart Company.
"I'm in shock," said Finn Reeves, whose brother River was the band's guitarist.
"I think they'd be absolutely thrilled. I can see the smiles on their faces.
"They made this happen. They did the hard work."
Viola Beach consisted of singer Kris Leonard, guitarist River, bassist Tomas Lowe and drummer Jack Dakin.
All four members of the Warrington band and their manager Craig Tarry died when their car plunged into a canal in Sweden in February.

Just joined the Kickstarter campaign for the new Pugwash album. If anyone would like to pledge the $2500 still needed to reach the goal, I would be most appreciative. Also ordered the new Mothboxer release. www.mothboxer.co.uk/

PRINCE Harry has been called up to play bass in The Fall.
The prince will undergo an intensive training regime to bring him up to speed with the band’s new material, before undertaking two tours of the north-west this summer.
Prince Harry said: “Being in The Fall is something most young British men have to go through at some point in their lives. Why should I be any different?
“The experience will give me a unique chance to learn about hard graft and discipline, as well as occult horror and existential philosophy.
“I hope to do my country – and Mark E Smith – proud, and pay fitting tribute to all the heroic men and women who have served in The Fall before me.”
Fall keyboardist Elena Poulou said: “He may be fourth in line to the throne, but he’ll be expected to muck in like the rest of us, and allow Mark to fuck with his bass amp during gigs.”
“If he knuckles down, he could find himself promoted to guitarist, second drummer or even the highest rank a Fall member can achieve – someone who gets booted out and then has a song written about them, slagging them off.”
