A-Z of bands (from the 21st centrury ) to give a go
Athlete. Go back to early 2003 when this band burst onto the scene.
For lively pop try their first album Vehicles and Animals - go to track El Salvador or Westside.
For more atmospheric, shoegaze style go to their 2nd album Tourist - go for Wires ( a song about his prematurly born son) or 24 hours.

Not sure how new this band is, but I thoroughly enjoy "Beyond the Silver Sea" by Dr Cosmo's Tape Lab. The interludes on the cd are reminiscent of the interludes from the Dukes of Stratosphear. drcosmostapelab.bandcamp.com/

C. is fior Clock Opera.
who are probaly the greatest bands you have never heard of. Their debut album in 2012 " ways to forget" is a masterpeice and is one my top ten albums of the 21st century without a doubt.
Listen to LESSON no 7 and then A PEICE OF STRING.

D is for DUTCH UNCLES.
This is abnd to be seen live. Their music is great on album but doesnt truly come to life until the band are on stage. the lead singer/keyboard guy has the quirkiest of dances - its as if somebody is randonly tazering him in time to the music.
Listen to their cover of Slave To The Rythmn ( Grace Jones) to get a feel for them.

Up to E. Eventually. And it has to be Everything Everything. In my mind one of the best two bands of the 21st century. The other best and starts with F. Go on guess. Their debut album Man Alive is inventive, complex and rewarding and surely should appeal to all right thinking XTC fans.
if anything counts against their early work its there may be too much going on for some ears. Listen to
Nasa and photoshop handsome to get the perspective

Well guys they have to be bands originating in the 21st century - so that both those guesses invalid I was just being silly. New bands/artists to me are old ones I'm just now discovering (not Foreigner). I do enjoy your A-Z list, Mr. Tein. Please continue.
