UPDATE - My wife was made redundant today with no pay off and no payment of wages owed. Waved through by the local labour MP's and no comment from opposition parties. I contacted my local Labour MP who was not interested. I'm punch drunk. I did my best and will continue to do so. It's not about giving up when you are out of options. So within a week we have both been fucked over. And I'm supposed to give a fuck? That is crap. I'm sorry Don. Do you mean that is bad luck. Or I'm talking shit. Hopefully the former.

I'm sure it was the former, although I misread it at first, so thank you. Times are hard and the safety net is full of holes. But I will survive as someone once said in a song. 😃

Only trying to sympathize. The unions here were smashed in recent decades, and that downward spiral in negotiating power, and material household wealth has fueled much anger everywhere. Anger, while being an energy, is too often misdirected. My best to both of you.

Thanks. The Unions are pretty powerless here too. Although there are currently a lot of strikes going on over here, the government know they can just sit it out. But 'we' keep voting for more of the same so who is really to blame here? And are the other lot any better? Well marginally yes they are, but when it comes down to voting for who will disadvantage you the least, then it's a pretty sad state of affairs.
