While not a return to the moon, the new NASA GOES-16 satellite is providing incredible HD images from near earth orbit. Take a look: (the beauty of this image brings tears to my eyes) How do you organise a space party? You planet.

That is on one of the mist beautiful photographs I ever seen in my life.
==============
I did hear a radio report last week about private companies being interested in manned moon missions to stake claims for future mining rights. It was only a matter of time money.

Here's a new question:
There has been and continues to be much discussion in the US about the Middle Class. How it has disappeared and nearly every politician of nearly every stripe vows to return the majority of the population to this ethereal society.
But what exactly is the Middle Class in the 21st century? Is it a specific income bracket; a standard of living; something external or internal? Does it differ from one state to the next or one country to the next? Does it even matter?
Lots of questions. What are some of your answers?

What income bracket?
I've heard/read that a middle class income in the US is in the neighborhood of $60-70k/year. Really? For all areas of the country? I can't imagine $65k goes very far in San Francisco or New York City.
What about the UK?
What about Canada?
Or other parts of the US?

A serious question to Spas/z. Why don't you pull the plug on this place? We have had our differences but I really admire that you keep things going for the minority non Facebook XTC people. Maybe it's an XTC thing. Either way just wanted to ask and say thanks. Cheers. don

What is this 'British Dream' thing the Tories are banging on about? Is it like the Big Society? Because that went well, didn't it? Blimey!
