I ran over a cat the other day. It wasn't done intentionally, although it is true that I don't particularly care for cats.

I was at a meeting once when a particular boring manager asked, Does anyone know what's special about today (The first anniversary of some some new IT system) - like anybody cared. Anyway someone answered, Is it kill a cat day? This, thankfully, brought the meeting to a swift end.

Finally started back to work, only to have the engine light on my car come on. A couple of days ago, I was going to see if the guy I bought the car from had his shop open to check out the situation, only to have the light turn off. Now I can't figure out if my car is about to explode.

Don't be a pussy. My warning lights flash along to my radio songs. And so far it's all good. Worry about blowing up when it happens.

I'm pretty sure it is just the stupid oxygen sensor that always goes off--I think those things are designed solely to piss drivers off.

Finally started back to work, only to have the engine light on my car come on. A couple of days ago, I was going to see if the guy I bought the car from had his shop open to check out the situation, only to have the light turn off. Now I can't figure out if my car is about to explode. Damn you, undiagnosable intermittent problems with cars! Ex with Automotive Shop: "Bring it in when it does that all the time." "I didn't find anything." "Didn't do it for me." I am pretty sure the car will burn down on me some day. FYI...If the check engine light comes on and stays on, pull over and call the dude, as you say it may just be the smog stuff. I had a light like that-when I finally half accusatorially said that Ex disconnected the dash light, he got all bent out of shape and stopped speaking to me. If the check engine light comes on, your temp gage is going up into the red and/or smoke comes out from under the hood, pull over, get out of the car, call the guy and pray to the Dog of your choice. This dash light stuff causes me uncertainty and terror, depending on which light it is. I hope your car doesn't explode, Intro! Oh, check the gas cap...you would not believe how many people bring their cars into the shop and that's all it is. Did you get gas before you took your car in?

I drive my cars into the ground. When the repair bills begin to accumulate, I seriously start looking for my next used car purchase.

My second car, I'm showing off now, has a resale value of £50 with admin costs of £50. Therefore zero. However if I sold it for scrap I'd get £150. No brainer. But I'm still driving it so won't be selling. It hasn't moved for twelve weeks. Started it up yesterday and it fired up first time.

Sigh. What's it like to have your own car? I've not been able to choose one of my own. If I could have, it would be one of these... I need a place to haul plants. If I ever get a backyard and move to Australia. And I would have been really happy with one of these... Back in the day, I wanted one of these (It rains a ton all at once around here & there is street flooding)... But this is what I've got... Until one of us dies. I love her...her name is Zoe.

My car has gotten stuck in the snow several times lately. I hope the forecast of much warmer temperatures next is accurate, so maybe this shit will finally melt.
